Dear Colleagues,

The Hong Kong Society for Quality of Life（香港生活质素学会）is co-organizing the 2008 Asian Chinese Quality of Life Conference with the First Affiliated Hospital of the Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine（广州中医药大学第一附属医院）and the School of Public Health of the Sun Yat-Sen University（中山大学卫生学院）on 15-18 May 2008 in the Guangzhou, China. Like the previous QoL conferences organized by the HKSoQoL, the conference will be a platform for QoL researchers in the region to share our knowledge, skills, findings, and visions related to quality of life.

In this conference, there will be plenary, symposium, free paper and workshop sessions and will cover topics including (1) Health related QoL research findings and methodology（生存质量的研究方法学）; (2) QoL in rehabilitation and social services（生存质量在社会服务和康复医学中的应用）; (3) QoL research in Chinese Medicine（生存质量在中医研究的应用）; (4) QoL research in Nursing care （生存质量在护理的应用）. In the past years, QoL symposia and conferences held in Hong Kong or Mainland China were well attended and the scientific content has been advancing throughout the years. I believe that this conference will be another very successful academic activity, and will be helpful to your clinical and academic work in the promotion of quality of life of your clients.
